Viewing destruction from Hurricane Helene along a hike 300m down Linville Gorge in North Carolina - absolutely massive amounts of water passed down this gorge in September 2024. Burke County- getting our first look at the damage in the Linville Gorge. The US Forest Service says there are thousands of trees down here from Helene. The trails right now and camping are off limits. Because it is a wilderness area…they are only able to use long saws to cut up the trees.
