December 10th is National Lager Day! This day honors the most popular style of beer in the United States. For today, Alex letterpress printed a beer related electrotype (copy of a woodcut). This cut, made 125-135 years ago, is from the Lewis Winter Collection. The print depicts an older individual who could be a tavern keeper or brewer holding a couple brews. This was printed with green rubber base ink using our Washington hand press, which was made in 1852. #SacHistoryMuseum #NationalLagerDay #
