Works better if you have a strong posterior tilt at the lockout. And padding helps too but it’s tough with this set up as you’d need it split to allow for the cable. | Bret Contreras

If you get markedly stronger over time (without gaining weight), then you necessarily have to be losing fat, building muscle, improving body composition, and becoming a leaner, denser unit. This needs to be discussed more often in the industry. Trainers are often too eager to put their clients on performance enhancing drugs that they don’t adequately caution them about the risks associated with prolonged drug use. I would feel so bad if I encouraged one of my clients to take anabolic steroids and their voice changed or their clitoris grew markedly larger.
