The Hike: Mountain View Trail—>Lookout Trail at Blue Knob State Park in Bedford County, PA. Length: 5.3 mi Difficulty: Hard Elevation Gain: 1,414 ft This is listed in Alltrails as the Blue Knob trail. I suggest using Alltrails as the trail can get a bit confusing in spots. I hiked the loop in a counterclockwise direction and saved the Pavia Overlook for the end. The Pavia Overlook at Blue Knob State Park in Bedford County is located atop Blue Knob, the second-highest mountain in Pennsylvania, with an elevation of 3,146 ft. *The actual second highest spot is located in the ski resort area, but the Pavia Overlook has the best views, in my opinion. I did this hike on a beautiful 70-degree February day. This was one of my absolute favorite hikes!
